The eagerly awaited 2017 Mitsubishi RVR, a crossover between a SUV and a luxury vehicle, was unveiled at the Tokyo motor show in October, 2015. The Mitsubishi RVR also known as the Outlander sport and ASX in some countries is a redesigned version of the popular series and sports a host of new features and additional specifications. RVR stands for ”Recreation Vehicle Runner” and the 2017 Mitsubishi stands true to its name.

The 2017 Mitsubishi RVR sports a fresh redesigned look with both the exterior and interior completely redesigned keeping with the present trend of a sportier look and plush fashionable looking interiors. The newly redesigned Mitsubishi RVR is slated to be a head turner with its cool looks and a powerful motor to boot. The new color choices, the electrically foldable side mirrors sporting integrated LED turning lights and high wheel arches make this an irresistible combination of beauty and brawn. The motor is a redesigned 2.2 Liters turbo powered Diesel power plant having a torque of 133KW and 178bhp of power. In addition there is a plug-in hybrid option which sports a 1.1 Liter petrol turbo motor with two electric motors. The engine will act as a generator to charge the batteries, which in turn will power the wheels. The power steering on the 2017 Mitsubishi RVR is a rack and pinion model with electric assist. Traction control and stability control are provided and so are features like independent Mcpherson strut front suspension and independent multi-link rear suspension. Safety is taken care by 5 seat belts and 7 airbags. The 2017 Mitsubishi RVR is expected to deliver a fuel economy of 9.9l/100 Km in city driving conditions and on highways the fuel economy could be boosted up to 7.6l/100 km.

The price is expected to start from $20,000 approximately for the base version.
